This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots can't. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If budget robot vacuum opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone however it can help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price tag.
If you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot There are many other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. The design is more modest than other models, with sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.
The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
